Bye-Bye Baby Boo-Boo Boots

This is Pam, Boots's Mama

Should have updated this when it happened, but a lot has been going on in recent years, and I kinda forgot about this blog.

We lost our precious Boots on November 3, 2018. We had 15 wonderful years with the funniest, sweetest little guy ever, and are so thankful for those.

We have two fur babies now, Parker and Palmer, who were about 6 months old when Boots passed away from advanced kidney disease. They have been a comfort and a joy to us. Although we love them wholeheartedly and can't imagine life without them, no kitty can ever replace our Boots.

Not should that be the case.

Life is a cycle, and death is part of that. It hurts. Grieve every loss.

But, always be open to love. And love with your whole heart.

My Most Favorite Time of Year (Is Almost Here!)

Ahh, Christmas. The tree. The ornaments. The bows. The paper.

So much to do. So little time.

Can't wait for it to be here again!

In the meantime, how about a blast from the past, since Mom hasn't posted ANYTHING since 2006.

Oooh... Pretty white Christmas tree, huh?

Totally stalked this guy right out of the tree.
(Things covered with 'em!)

Won't be fake-crapping all over Mom's tree anymore!

Mom's so proud!

So many more to go. Well, I got all day. And all night.

What??!! Nobody was doin' nuthin to no presents!

Long Time No Post

Hey there! Still alive and scratching [furniture]. I do have 9 lives after all.

Yeah... problem was my Mom forgot my sign in information. Turns out sobriety didn't mean instant memory recall after all.

Anyhoo... she finally had a light bulb moment and voila! Here I am again!

Ready to post all my latest photos and even videos now!

Here's just a little taste...

Looks like I'm sleeping, but I'm exercising!

See? Stretch and...

Reach!

A phat boy's gotta retain his sweet physique, after all!

6 Weird Things

Okay, so I've been tagged by Jasper. I have to come up with 6 things that are weird about me. I honestly don't know if I can come up with 6 things. I mean, I'm about as normal as a cat can be. =^!^=

Anyway, here goes my best shot:

  1. My favorite place to sleep is an uncushioned metal wire "in-box."

  2. I'm a pacifist. I don't like to get in fights, and I'll let smaller cats swat and hiss at me.

  3. I like plain, nonfat yogurt and hummus (not together, though).

  4. I occasionally *ahem* "forget" that I've been neutered when a certain little female feline hottie comes around, if you know what I mean. ;)

  5. I only want to drink water from a ceramic or glass cup placed on the counter in the bathroom, or water actually dripping from a faucet. I refuse to drink the water Mom puts in the second compartment of my dry food dish.

  6. I can tell time, and I HAVE to have my canned food at 6:00 PM on the DOT in the winter, and 7:00 PM during DST.

Okay, now I tag Hoshi, Budda, and Walden (hey, dogs can play, too, right?).

The Most Wonderful Time of the Year

It's almost Christmas. I LOVE Christmas!!!

I mean, what's NOT to love? Trees, ornaments, gift bags, wrapped presents, and RIBBONS. I L-O-V-E ribbons. I love to help with the whole wrapping deal, but ribbons are my absolute fave.

For some reason, Mom and Dad haven't done any decorating yet this year. I'm a little bummed about that, 'cuz I LOVE to help decorate for Christmas, especially the tree. Here's some pics of me helping Mom, from my FIRST Christmas.

Where's that cord?

I think this one should go just a little...

...Oops!

Okay, found it! It should go here. Yeah, right there.
That's good. That's the ticket. Hmm. What's this?

I LOVE these ornaments! So glittery and shiny!
So shiny. Watch it go back and forth...

...Back and forth... so shiny... back and forth...
Why are my eyelids getting so heavy?

Time for a coffee break.Time for a coffee break.

What? Already done?

Ooooh. Ahhhhh.
Seriously, not too bad for a darn fiber
optic tree with non-breakable ornaments!

A People Person Cat

I love people. When the doorbell rings, I run to see who's there. I don't care whether it's the UPS guy, a kid selling magazines, or the Papa John delivery person.

I love everyone.

That's probably one reason I love Christmas so much. People, people everywhere, and they all are happy to see ME!

My Meena and DadDad came to see me at Thanksgiving, and my Grandmama just left today. I'm a little sad everyone's gone, but I know that probably tomorrow, someone else will come for a visit. To see ME.

I don't just THINK this. I KNOW it. I know it because the other night, I watched Mom order a dress from Coldwater Creek. It should be arriving any day now. And someone—either from UPS or FedEx—has to deliver it.

A Little More About Me

I know you're probably wondering all about me. Chances are, you took one look at my handsome face, and had to check out my Blogger profile, so you know I'm an environmental engineer.

This career choice was a total no-brainer. I come by my skills quite naturally, as can be seen in the following photos, which show me at work during my stint as Technical and Logistical Director of R and Designer Girl's recent move from Atlanta
to South Florida.

Ahhhh... the satisfaction of a job well done
